you cant disable it
you can break the bulb
you can fix it with a diagnostic test and find out what the problem is that way at least you will have a fault code to assist on the repair;)

Why would you want to disable it, unless you want to see smoke coming from the car? Possibly a loud explosion? :D

^ I hope not!!!! I hate those guys...

YOU got to find out why you have a cell by getting it VAGged, ONce you have the codes, post them and see if someone can help. Resolve the issue and it'll go away. Even if you cleared the code, changes areit'll come back if youdon't fix the underlying issue,Or take it to a shop.

2008 audi a4 Quattro, p0299 loss of turbo

Check engine light turns on and it says loss of passage to turbo and i found a leak in the car is that possibly the solution to making it go away? .the leak is uder the transmission very hard to see but it is a broken plastic i believe where some pumps connect.

I have a CEL from bad cats, even after I replaced them. Fixed it with a 1"x1" piece of black electrical tape over the icon. It will drive you nuts when you sit in the passenger seat and see it again. :-)

sounds about right, can't think of any other reason why somebody would want to disable the CEL.
