Go to Autozone and see if they can connect to it... Other wise get your own scanner... Do a search on VagCom in this section and you'll see a buch of alternatives. some of which cost as low as $20 that use your lap top.

Jim i really dont know what an engine block is or a power steering pump lol :) but i'm sure they can find it! i tried the aha and atq NO LUCK!! This stupid thing came on because my flex pipe on the driver side went bad and when i took it to get inspected a week befor this happend they failed me cause the o2 sensor wasnt reading so i figured it all had to do with the flex pipe thing. I took it to that shop because EVERYONE tried to rip be off cause i was a girl! (hmph) They were pretty fair with the work but i dont think they are the smartest when it comes to technology :).......

I just wanted to thank everyone for all there help ...this is a learning experience for sure!! :)

Yeah, i think you'll have good luck at Autozone. It's free to have them check your engine codes for you, so there shouldn't even be a chance to rip you off in that regard - just don't have them fix your car for ya.

Ya.. Generic OBDII readers will read and pull any emissions related codes. Its standardized, and law. Its only the Audi specific codes you need a dedicated scanner for. If your shop doesnt know this, please find a different shop.
