Default Error Code p1545

The error code is that of the throttle alignment, and i want to know if there is any other way besides going to a dealer to reset the system, aka reprogramming the computer. I want to try to quick fix so i don't have to go to the dealer obviously to spend all the money on something if it's simply corrected.

from whisperings that ive heard, and idk how it makes sense, is that if u disconnect the negative battery terminal for 5min that apparently resets the computer, again, idk how that makes sense, but its what i hear

Disconnect the battery only if you have the radio code. Anyways, disconnect for about 5 to 10 minutes. Reconnect and turn the key to on position without starting the car. Let it sit for a couple of minutes and it should be it.

As for the P1545 code, you can try the battery reset thing, but it may not work. The code is actually for the circuit control malfunction.

see the problem i'm having is that at about 1200 rpm's -1400 rpm's, i get nothing, no power my car won't shift into the next gear, so i end up just riding at about 15 mph. as for the p1545 when i looked up that fault code it said it was a miss aligned throttle sensor. So with that being thrown off, my idling rpm's are extremely low, the throttle senson and the ECU need to be resynced would resetting the computer resync my throttle sensor and ECU? If not is there a way to do that.

Try cleaning the throttle body. Then recalibrate the throttle body position by disconnecting the battery, and waiting as noted above.

I know others have the same problem when the battery went totally dead.
I have the T1545 code (scanned by Autozone as their free service):

My A4 has a P1545 code.. (Autozone sanned it for me, but they cannot reset it)
-> Throttle Position Control Malfunction

Explanation:
-> Open or short circuit condition

Probable Causes:
1 - Failed Throttle Actuator
2 - Failed Throttle Valve Control Module
