Family locked in car and couldn't get out!!

i accidentally locked my wife and daughter in my A6 and walked away. They couldn't get out and it was a hot day. My wife now wants me to sell the car and buy a brand that has no deadlock. Is there a way to get out of a locked Audi without the key?

Not sure if this is a joke (sounds like the blonde locked in the convertible with the top down), but the door handle should work. I have locked my A4 numerous times and then tried to get out without unlocking using the handle. The door opened and the alarm went off. I'm sure the same thing happened in my old A6, too. Hmm - were they in the backseat and the child lock was on? If that's the case, they could have climbed into the front seat and exited.

I second the child lock. We have ours on and no one can get out of the back seat. Easy fix to flip it to unlocked and no issue
