There are two fans - one is cooling related and one for AC - which one is not coming on?

This is AC - should switch on when you switch AC on.

1. Fan to the left - does it switches on?
2. At which temp?
3. At which speed (there should be too speeds - low at 80 and hi at 90 celcius).
4. When it switches on - does it cool down the car?

I would do:

1. unplug temp sender from the bottom of radiator, shortcut 1-3 on the plug -> fan should start max speed, shortcut 1-2 -> fan should start lower speed. If the fan runs in both cases - then temp sensor failed

2. if both speeds fail then connect fan directly to battery +12 - will check the fan working. If not - replace the fan.

3. If fan is working - then check wires and relays. Let me know if this is the case...

In my 2004 model:

in a panel behind driver's storage compartment: relay #2 for 2nd speed of the fan, relay #3 is the main radiator fan relay, relay #4 is for radiator run-on. In the same panel - fuse #19 is for radiator fan, fuse #21 is for fan control unit, check fuse #22 as well.

I know that for allroad models - there are extra.

When you say the drivers storage compartment can you be more specific. The only fuse box I see is the one that's located on the side of the dash when I open the drives door.

It is under the wheel - you have to remove a big panel on 5 bolts which is under the wheel and above your knees. I remember I had to unclip dash panel insert and trip on the driver's side to unscrew all 5 bolts.
