I have been happy with BG44k. The Chevron Techron is ok if you can't find BG44K.

Two questions...
1. BG44K? What is it?
2. Is sea foam really that great? Im coming up on an oil change so its a perfect time to do this. I have read other threads about sea foam and always left with a blank look on my face. I would consider it if its not too complicated or expensive, and if it works well. I have just always heard that chevron is good stuff, but if there is somethn better, I would gladly switch.

One could consider:

-WD-40 - much cheaper
- Liqui moly - German stuff for German cars

Custom blend:

-kerosine
-naphtha
-mineral spirits

But be aware: the application makes real difference.
The concentration is the key here.

BG44kk is a powerful fuel cleaner used by many car dealerships. Type BG44k into you web browser and you will be directed to the manufacturers website.

I've used it every couple months since I bought my A6 with 38k miles and it's now at 118k. However, on a higher mileage car, it could loosen up too much crap and cause problems. I bought an A4 3.0 with 70k for my daughter and tossed in a bottle. A couple times I felt it shake a little under acceleration, like it was missing. The next day I noticed the CEL on and Autozone diagnosed a P0401 (I think). It was either the catalytic converter failed or an engine miss. I suspected the latter and after about 2 weeks the CEL cleared itself.
