Three questions. First one. This is my first Audi, and i love it. Drives like no other. But, I am not rich it has 79k on the odo and should i be thinking about a extended warranty for about 4k or are these cars pretty reliable if all the scheduled maintenance is done? Second, like all c6's the upper control ARM bushings are junk. Are the aftermarket kits ok or should i spend a grip ($1100 for the upper front arms) on Audi OEM? Carbon buildup a problem or should i drive it like I stole it once in a while? Thanks!

Don't bother with the extended warranty. 1st of all there are many restrictions for what's covered even if you get the platinum warranty. Yes, drive train is covered, but the drive train on the A6 is bullet proof so why bother, it's the electronics and minor oil leaks you need to worry about when you near 75K miles. 3rdly you could pay for a lot of repairs with the $4000 you save.

Nice thanks for the input. No warranty for me then. How about transmission.fluid change? My car is going in tomorrow for the typical valve cover, cam seals, vacuum pump seals, cam plugs to fix the oil leaks. Also gotta to go to audi for the latest mmi update....
How long have you had your upper control arms in? Durable? Was Ur mechanic bent cuz u did not buy the parts from him?
