Default Get better & better Now oil lamp flashing

Having come to terms with the power steering problems (New pump going on tomorrow) I have just come across a potential heart stopper.

Driving up to a junction, clutch in, revs die - car stalls, pop clutch to restart, same thing happens- canter through junction by popping clutch then able to dip clutch and give it some throttle everything returns to normal-ish.

10 mins later the same thing happens while pulling into park at home, this time with oil can symbol flashing in Diagnostic section and buzzer alarm. Handbook advice "Stop the car and request roadside assistance". This sounds v bad.

Can anyone reassure me what might be causing it?

Having provided excellent service for 2 years it seems that this might be the beginning of the end of the relationship

Thanks in advance

JG

I suppose you checked you have oil in there?? other problems could be oil pump failed/timing belt issue

Oil OK
Hoping thta it is just the oil pressure sensor switch - the cheapest alternative. Worst case is scored pistons big end going etc...Many dollars.
