Getting my first car - 2003 2.7T, 2004 3.0, or 2000 A4 1.8T
2003 2.7T - over 130,000 miles
2004 3.0 - over 130,000 miles
2000 1.8T - low 100,000s
Which would you recommend? I'm not looking for top speed. Sure I'd love to have the fastest, but if it'd take more money for maintenance and whatever then I don't care.
I'm new to this stuff. I love Audis. Been a long search for picking a car. I'd appreciate all the advice.

The 2.7T is the most powerful and can easily be moded but it is also requires more maintenance and is more complicated to repair if something related to the turbos goes out.
The 3.0 is less powerful and there are not many modifications that can be had to make the car any more powerful or faster. Also if the car your considering is not the 3.0Quattro it will come with a CVT transmission which many say are not as reliable of a transmission. If the timing belt job has not been completed already, this job too is said to be more complicated and involved than the 2.8 or 2.7T engine.
The 1.8T is a good reliable engine just less powerful than the V6's. It will probably require less maintenance than the other V6 turbo engines, but the car itself (A4) is smaller and not as roomy as the A6.
Overall All of the car's could be a good choice as a used car as long as you buy one that has been well maintained and has not been beaten on. Look for one with service records and a clear title history and if buying from a private party ask to see any service records or service and repair receipts. If you're not "Mechanically Inclined" have the car looked over prior to buying by someone who is familiar with Audis and the required maintenance on these cars.

Thanks a lot. Great info.
A dealer near me who has sold a lot and loves Audis offered to give me advice any time on cars even if it's a different seller. He told me he saw the 2.7T I asked about and was not good. He said 2000 I should stay away from. About the 3.0 he said he'd look at it (didn't respond yet) and it has to be quattro.
