Default gonna replace my timming belt-heads up-

going to replace my timming belt( A6) and am not afraid of making my own cam lock tool.anyone ever done this?? looking for a heads up!!

Not sure how you are going to make it, you need the precise measurements & the pins. You can only get them, once you are in there.

Just buy the tool, rent it, or find some one local who has one.

my heads up to you is to use only oem parts...and the tool set u can rent from blauparts for 35 bux...

My fear is the car being down ( meaning I wont have it to drive) while I make the tool.
I will make anthing,,,, If I knew the pin sizes it would give me a headstart BENG

35$ isn't an arm or leg job how much are they charging for the parts??

Good Luck brother, just getting to the serpentine belt tensioner has cost me alot of pain, add the fact that it just wont quit raining in Miami and you have a car stuck for 3 days

Dont know what they charge for parts, saw another post saying that the T.B. job went to hell after using there non OEM parts. That was enough for me. I,d give up $35 in a heartbeat for the use of one.
as it is I,ll just make my own. I do realize that this has to be very precise and is nothing to be nonchelant about. BENG
