What is the part that divides the two sections of the 2010 A6 Grille? After recently pulling into something rather hard that matte black division piece was broken and I can't seem to figure out how to replace it.

 

You need to give more details about your car (ex: 3.0T, 3.2L, 4.2L) when having an inquiry such as yours. The car is too "new" for most members to know from the top of their head what you're talking about.
Always a visual aid is very helpful.
From the pictorials, it appears that the front grill is actually one single piece, with a license plate bracket "dividing" it into an upper and a lower sections.
If that's the case and you look for the license plate bracket/filler, then you can try ECS Tuning.
Of course, you can always ask the dealer for the part number and get it through them.
A $ 50,000 + car should be maintained with genuine parts.
