Not positive but the immobilizer from the 03 might cause a problem. Someone please correct me if I am wrong...

So my 99 cluster doesn't have an immobilzer? how would I know if it does? And what would I have to do to get the newer cluster to work?

I had a shock when I found this out to, the immobilizer came in, in 2001. The way to tell is when you start the car you will see a light on the dash which is a car with a key in it.

I have been trying to source a cluster for my car, I really don't want to buy a used one as I am not sure if you can reset the millage.

If anyone can clarify the milage adjustment issue and suggest a cluster source that would help us both

The LCD screen right? Read my write up here: https://www.audiforums.com/forum/sho...&postcount=245

You can buy one off of ebay and the mileage will be incorrect just as you said. From what i've read around they can only be changed by the dealer when they are at very low miles (probably <500). To be honest, most of us on here haven't done anything with it except live with it - there isn't much you can do without paying a decent amount of cash (as i stated in the post i linked).
