We had our 2001 A6 in for the recent recall to replace headlight wiring harness. After the work was done, the headlight warning buzzer does not work. We took it back to the dealer who did the recall work and he said it doen't work because the door handle is broken. My wife took it so she can't tell me exactly what is broke. Does anyone have any ideas? I seems like every time we take the car in for one thing, it comes out with other things wrong. I am starting to think that they are breaking things on purpose.

 

They are not, believe me. Its vorsprung durch technik in action and every Audi tech will swear to that on his deathbed.

 

Say what you want, but without fail, there is always something new wrong when the car comes out of the shop. From now on with the exception of any recall work, we will be taking our A6 to our local non-Audi mechanic. We trust them.
