And here are a few others.

These are 18x8 with a 32+ offset, I think if I got tint these would look really good being dark with a red ring around it.

Never been a fan of those wheels in the first couple pics, and that silver A4 with them on looks like AMZE's old car LOL. I think the gunmetal wheels with the red lip would look pretty mean on a red car though.

Congrats on the car. Great Deal. I just hope that you still love it in about 3 years or so. You will probably need that 10 grand you saved to keep it running right.. Good Luck.

Why pee on his parade? He has a found a love and is expressing his joy about it and he gets a post like that? My old man has a 2000 2.7T A6, no issues. I have 2004 A6 S-Line. I'm gaga over it. And if you told me that I would have to spend 10 grand over 3 years to keep her running right I would say "Sure. No problem." My C5 is awesome. If I run the scenario of it being totaled by some drunk running a red and I look on autotrader or my at Audi dealership to find a replacement...I can't. So I would have no problem pumping 10 grand into it to keep it in tip top shape. An S-Line A6 is a rare beast, no matter the year and is worth investing in. Not that he will have to. Mine's been rock solid. I suspect the original poster feels the same. So I think your post is a touch negative. Sorry.

^^^ Agreed.
If he has 15 k to spend on an Audi @ 21 yrs old without even blinking, then probably will have no trouble shedding another 10k over three years (even if that would be the case).
It is a damn great looking car, no doubt about it. I am twice his age and can't afford coming up with 15 k cash on the spot like that. More kudos to him or his parents.
Enjoy your sweet ride, young man.

No parents. Here's the deal.

I have always paid for everything in cash my entire life so When It comes to my credit, I
have NONE. The reports all came back 100% blank.
I have a career and a 2nd and kinda 3rd job. I'm a full time Firefighter with my local dept.

I plan to buy a house in a year, I'm living off the money I make at my 2nd job ( Discount tire) and the money from the fire dept is being routed into a saving account
so that in a year I'll have 30,000 for a down payment on a house.

Problem is, I have no credit, So I payed 5K Cash down on the car and financed the last 10,000 through southeast financial at a great 2%. I'll pay payments for a min. of 11 months. If I pay it off before 11 months my credit is actually hurt because th credit union thinks it as "Cheating" to get credit.
So I took out the loan to build credit so I have something when I go to get a house.

No parents here, But they are nice enough to let me live at home untill I buy the house.
I could go live on my own, But really, When I have a chance to change the rest of my life buy not having to rent and having the chance to buy a house and pay half of it off
in the down payment, it's something I'm going to run with.
Houses here are cheap because of th economy.
IE. 1 story 1,500 Sq ft 4 br 3 bath with a full 2 car garage on an acre lot for 55k. !
and same deal a mile away for 60k! A year from now is the time to buy a house if you can afford it.

Damn man, you're a workaholic! Reminds me of myself when i was your age....
I bought my house at 24, so if you can beat that you're doing damn well. Milk the rent off your folks as long as you can though, looking back, i wish i did.

And to follow up the above post, INVEST SOME MONEY and SAVE SOME MONEY, I started that when I was 19 and it's been great, it has afforded me a bum lifestyle and before I started my business, it gave me the ability to quit a job when my boss was a jackass. I wasn't tied in because I was worrying about how to pay rent.

I love that car. If I didn't just get married in August, I would of bought an even newer Audi, but since I bought two used luxury cars it pretty much curbed what I could afford, and I spent more on hers. Oh well.

Oh wait, there is advice in that, STAY SINGLE, woman cost money! LOL

=)

What is it about firefighters coming across awesome deals on red, German, "manumatic" cars? A firefighter friend of ours recently picked up an E46 M3 SMG for only $6k!!! I must be in the wrong line of work.

Awesome find, Jose. I, too, would love to be able to row my own gears, but you're right. Sometimes it is nice to just push the pedal and GO!

BTW, fantastic pics! I think you need to bump up the "sights and sounds" section of the forum with some of your handy shutter work. As for the wheels, I do like the gunmetal or graphite color. Not sure if I'm digging the red ring so much lately (played out perhaps?). As for 19's, personally I'd back off to 18's. I have 19x8.5's now and will probably move on to 18x9's. But that's just me. Pick whatever wheels make you feel good!
