Help aligning hood on C5 a6
 

I just noticed today that my hood is slightly higher on the passenger side than it is on the drivers side. Just to be specific I mean the space between the hood and headlight is larger and its not flush with the fender. Is there some type of adjustment system used to make the hood sit flush?

Open Hood
Find rubber stop.
Lower rubber stop
adjust hood latch
close hood.

Thanks for the help, but i figured out that the problem actually lies in my bumper. The bumper was misaligned when i got the can due to a small hit, i recently got it adjusted so it lines up with the fenders but i seems that now it interferes with the hood. I think I need to change the shocks.

try changing the tire air pressure - instructions can be found in the owners manual

what purpose does this hold??

He could mean =>From misaligned hood to the engine rebuilt - how long the thread could be if we skip the tire pressure readings…

If Bklynrx7 needs to change the shocks to help align the hood he should start with simple things like adjusting the tire pressure first.

One of the last things to do is re-adjust the front bumper. I think there are three methods -1. put the bumper against a large tree and press on the gas until the tires smoke. 2. Use the specialized BFH tool 4. ask someone from the Michigan Technological University to drive the vehicle for a week.
