HELP ME!!! please
i just bought my 2001 a6 on 12-20. 72k miles. its really cold here and the car wont start. voltage is fine. im thinkin frozen starter?[i went through some big *** puddles previous day and then it got cold as hell]. i have no clue and i have to go to worksomeone please give advice
Check your belts. Those can slip off with slush and cold. There should be a cowling under the car to keep out the majority of slush and water, so I don't think your theory about "freezing up" is the problem. I live in Cleveland and have been through slush to very cold cycle for 3 years with my 98 A6 (85,000 miles) and that has never happened to me. Check the battery first. You might have to take it out and to an auto parts store that has a real tester. Also make sure they have a replacement in stock.
i just got her back from the dealership. dont know the specifics, but ice was obstructing something in the tran. and the computer thought the car wasnt in park. like i said i dont know sheeit bout cars. i know she runs good, they didnt charge me. and im not depressed bout not having my smooovey pimpride
