Help with my brakes (2004 2.7T)
 

VERY long story short:
Does anyone have all the torque specs involved with a pad and rotor swap on an 04 2.7T? Caliper, carrier and wheel, and all the anti-sieze or loc-tite involved?
Does anyone have a write-up or pics for the swap, as I can only find PRE-04, which is a different set-up. I have a general idea:
Pop/pry the clip off, unbolt caliper and remove. Unbolt carrier and remove, pop off rotor, replace rotor, replace carrier, compress piston, put pads in place, replace caliper and put, pop, fight clip back in place.
Does this sounds about right?

also, one of my pads is down to 1-1.5 mm, the other is down to 3 mm. (an indy shop lied to me/scammed me and told me they were fine a few months ago, then cut my sensor wires)
The car doesn't pull in either direction, AKA, the caliper wouldn't appear to be stuck, so why would they wear so unevenly??

Thanks, but that's actually the article that I was referring to that is for a 2001. The carliper /carrier setup is different on my 04.

If you are doing the rears you will also need the caliper tool to push in the piston, but it also needs to turn. Two options Autozone etc sells this one... http://www.bigtextoolsandcaps.com/dibrcapitucu.html but this is way easier... http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=40732

You'll need some caliper/brake grease, a 7mm hex bit to get the caliper off (caliper guide pins).

Now, I'm replacing the rotor, too. What size bit are the bolts for the carrier housing?
It also says in the manual I'll need some speial kind of grease to apply between the rotor and the wheel housing? What's that?
And no loc-tite or anti-sieze on any of the other bolts?
I know the torque specs for the wheel (120 Nm), but there appears to be two different ribbed bolt torque specs forthe cariier housing, 130 or 200, one for an m14 bolt, one for an m15. What's the difference, and which torque spec am I using?

will I need to siphon/remove brake fluid as mentioned, or should it be fine when compressing the pistons?
