Here's how to remove the door panels and speakers. It's really easy, I just pulled my door panels and rewired my rear speakers over the weekend.

The sub and amp is in the trunk on the passenger side. Remove the paneling and it's the big box held in by three bolts.

Default Does anyone know how to change out the speakers in my Audi A6 Quattro??

I bought to factory Bose speakers for my 2000 Audi A6 2.8L that has the Symphony stereo system in it. I didn't see the word Bose anywhere in my car but i figured that's the kind of speakers it has so that's what i bought. Can someone please help me on this one.

Thanks

If you don't see Bose anywhere in the car...that means you don't have Bose speakers in your car. It's a little hard to miss: they put a Bose logo on each of the lower kicker speakers, it comes up on the stereo when you first turn it on, and it's clearly labeled on the subwoofer in the trunk (pass-side). I personally wouldn't recommend buying Bose speakers (which are 2-Ohm) to put in a non-Bose car because I believe the non-Bose speakers are all 4-Ohm and that would mean the amplifier is also designed for 4-Ohm (and would run hot/hard to drive 2-Ohm speakers). I'm not sure where you want to go now that you've already bought them, though - put them in and see how it sounds? Maybe it's not a big deal.

I replaced the front speakers on my 1998 A6, I put some pictures and comments in an album.
You can look in my album or in in the album section search Speaker Replacement.
