Idle Shot, Smells like Gas
1999 C5 2.8 AHA FWD w/ approx 130K miles
[ If it matters, I just had my steering column apart and replaced both left and right switch assemblies ( cruise/turn and wipers) . When I started it up after words.... ]
...My idle is shot (and sometimes wont idle) - down to 250 or so from probably 700-800. It runs obviously rough, and smells sweet like raw gas.
What could I have done now.... ?
...Mike
( Oh yeah, the INSP has been on for a thousand miles or so - nothing coded out at the local auto parts store)

you might need to run a throttle body adaption. 50% of the time when I disconnect my battery I end up having to do one.
Do you have access to a vag-com? I believe it will re-adapt itself in time. It's the only thing I can think of.

Here is a way to do a throttle body calibration without a VAGcoc. Disconnect the battery, reconnect, turn the ignition key to on position without starting the car. Wait 3 minutes or so and you are done.
