Default intermittent rear light failure A6 2.7tdi 05

over the last couple of weeks warning lamps have indicated first bulb failure then later brake light failure then indicator bulb failure. It happened sometime after starting the car at first but now it comes on quite quickly. I have checked the rear light module connector and bulbs which are ok. I disconnected the module and probed the connector wire terminals where there are 2 earth/ground on the bottom level. One of these, connected to the blue wire, seems to be dead whereas the other shows a small current. When checking the obd2 dtc I get code 2011?? Any ideas please?

I do not understand DTC code 2011.
