Just got a new ipod for my birthday, I was wondering how most people had there ipods setup. I have a 2003 3.0 Quattro with the indash 6disc changer, anyone know if this http://www.discountcarstereo.com/detail.aspx?ID=816would work for me, its the Blitzsafe AUDI/M-LINK1V.1B 1998-06 Audi

 

I'd suggest the IceLink. They are being blown out now and can be had on eBay for under $75 (search for "Audi IceLink") -- less than the Blitzsafe with greater functionality. Follow the link in my signature to my registry page. There, you'll find a link ("IceLink/iPod integration") to a tech article I did on how to DIY install. Follow all of the link in that article and you'll also find a discussion of the IceLink vs the DICE product (successor to the IceLink). If the price were equal, I'd probably steer you toward the DICE (slightly better functionality), but for less than 1/2 the price, the IceLink is a no brainer.

Definitely. It will emulate the second CD Changer (which is activated by hitting the "CDC" button twice). That's the thing that's cool about the IceLink -- it emulates the CD changer so that your steering wheel controls drive the iPod (e.g., next/prev track).
