Default Leaking Headlight Washer

2002 A6 Quattro. Great car, but I noticed that there was a small puddle in under the driverside front bumper....Turns out there is a leak somewhere in the headlight washer assembly. Opened the wheelwell and also went through the front fog light grill to check it out. Can anyone tell me if this is commmon..repair?...replace?? Any suggestions welcome.

Its a common problem, it can either be the headlight washer itself, or a small plasticT piece that broke off. Either way you need to pull the bumper off to get a better look.

Honestly, the best repair is to disable them. I replaced my washers twice before I finally unhooked them, plus I got tired ofthem making my hood dirty everytime they sprayed.
Unhooking them: There is a "T" fitting coming off of the washer fluid tank that runs to the washers. Unhook the main hose going into the T. Put a bolt in the hose, and clamp it shut (I ziptied the the bolt in, then bent the hose over and ziptied it). You can do this with the bumper still on by going through the fog light grille. It is a little tight, but it works.
