LEMON?

[>:]I bought a 2002 -3.0 in august '06 with 31,000. Since then the engine was replaced, TWICE. This was in addition to a few other warrenty covered item repairs. Do I file under theLemon Law or chance that the car will "be fine now".

If the engine had to be replaced twice i would say it's a fluke. Have the dealership do anelaborate inspection of the car. Check all major working components to check for defaults or early wear. Then go from there.

Thanks. The car has been to the dealer more than I would like. I get the cold shoulder from them. During the last repair I had a heart to heart talk with the salesman, letting him know I was leaning twords the lemon law. He was going to talk to the manager & never got back to me after I caled him.

It's all about the followthrough. Dealers never call back.... Call him and if he hasnt talked to his manager, speak personally to the manager. Discuss the situation with the manager and he will be able to tell you your possible options. Just remember, even if you're getting the "cold shoulder" you are the customer and you're always right. It's their job to keep you happy.

Read the lemon law for your state in detail before you try and claim it. There is more to it than some think.

I did your homework for you.

You are not eligable for lemon law in your state.

In MA it must be purchased as a new vehicle and the problem must arise within the first 15,000 miles or 12 months, whichever comes first. Also the work must all be done by a manufacturer authorized dealership.

the vehicle was purchased in NH. I spent last weekend doing the research. THe paperwork is filled out and ready to go.

Well it would have helped to know that it was purchased in NH lol. But none the less, good luck to you.

Yea i definitely hear ya. Just seems to me if it was a full engine swap, there wouldnt really be an underlying cause for both. Did they use new sensors, wires, etc, or just the mechanical parts?
