So or some weird reason my 2003 a6 3.0 started flashing a few lights

1.- Is the one on the picture it seems like a fog light

and second
2.- My tiptronic was not working at all I took it to my mechanic and he told me that it was having problems with the connection somewhere under the gear box which he fix by sealing the connection or something like that however now is flashing the lights from parking to D and even when the manual is on is not showing me the gears. This problems is sporadic and not always happening for instance this morning was working fine however a few hours later again not working.

According to my mechanic the transmission is perfectly fine and doesn't seem to have any problems.

I will take it in again to see wahts the deal but i need to have an a idea of whats going on.

Is it serious?
what can I do about this?

I did replace the battery could it be that it need to be reprogrammed by the dealer?

Any advice is appreciated

don't know on the 2nd one but the first one, the picture is telling you that you've lost the motors to the autoleveling feature on the headlights.

 

Perfect! is good to know that at least that's not something too expensive.
Lets hope the deal with the gear lights is not something that bad and expensive if someone has any idea of how to fix this or the gears please let me know

Try reposting this in the A6 section and see if anyone there knows the answer to your question.

 

The flashing gear indicator is a sign that the tranny is in limp mode....having a problem. Take the car to someone who knows how to work on it and get it checked. My first thought is that it is low on fluid, but it could be something else. Pull the tranny codes.
