so i just moved to a small town in Colorado where they dont really have good Audi service. I have a '00 A6 2.7T, and my check engine light came on a couple days ago and cant figure out what the problem is and it seems like the engine is running a bit hotter than usual and i can smell it heating up but my oil and coolant meter is still normal. anything to worry about?

 

You need to get a VAGCOM to get the codes for the CEL Once you have that people can give you sugestions as to what needs to be fixed. Otherwise you are playning roulett with a loaded gun. If the is an autozone nearby they might be able to do the scan for you but having an AUDI and VAGcom is the the most fun you can have with your cloths on. There is even a free version of the software and cheep interfaces for you computer that is good enough to identify the cause of most problems.
