My name is Jimmy and im from the good old U of K,
I currently have an VW passat b5 (2000) 1.8 20v t, and im looking to upgrade? to a a6 2.4 on a r reg.
One of the reasons is due to lack of power and another because i look like my dad driving a passat!
I previously had a mk 3 golf vr6 running 200bhp and want to feel some power again and mabey hear a bit of Vee6 throttle too.

Any info as to the doos and donts would be cool, im lookin forward to joining yet another VAG forum

I don't think there are many ppl from the Uk on hear i've seen a couple but not a lot and the 2.4 was never in the states. furthermore if power is what your lookin for the 2.4 isn't goin deliver. u'll need at least a 2.8 to do something. a6 is heavier than the passat due partly to quatrro. i'm not sure the actually specs on either car but i'm think a 2.4 A6 and passat 1.8t would be very close in number and the passat might be faster. If your lookin for power i would chip your passat, that will give you the most power and you'll have over 200 hp out of the 1.8. less weight plus more hp = faster car. my suggestion is to either chip the passat or get at least a 2.8.
