Are you buying the car from a dealer? If they don't give you a carfax then you need to run away. Go to www.carfax.com to buy a report.

I bought the CARFAX - AND the car !!! You're right &thanks for the ethics check South! I had a subscription to this service last year but since I only deal in pre 80 classic cars I don't have much use for it... (VintageCarsOnline.com)
I got a good deal I think...
2003, one owner, Audi dealerbought (so it's CPO'd 'til 94,000 miles or 2 yrs), clean carfax, clean car - doesn't seem to have any stories... and they gave me a good deal on my trade (06 Dodge Ram Pickup) - I'm essentially swapping for the car...
$23,000
I'm looking forward to being a contributing member to the forum...

Thanks - not a big fan of the color - but what the heck... an RS6 Spoiler, and a better wheel should dress it up a bit... what are you using for winter rubber?

I'm using Dunlop Wintersport M3s for my winter rubber. No longer available, but the Wintersport 3D is its successor and is getting good writeups. Those will be awfully sweet winter wheels if you relegate them to such duty when you get new summer wheels.
RS6 spoiler would be a nice touch -- I've got one (along with some S6 door blades) on the bench that are going on come spring. If you can swing it, go OEM on the spoiler. You have to drill & bolt it on, but it's worth it -- MUCH tighter fit. Look for any post by "Boston Driver" here or on www.audiworld.com and follow the link in his signature to his registry page. There, he has a writeup on the OEM RS6 spoiler install. He's also the 4.2 mod king so you'll find his registry page useful.
