lowering kit job
Hey guys,
How easy is it to put new springs onto my a6. I just bought an eibach pro-springs lowering kit ( just the springs so far), and I was just wondering what popping out the old spring and putting in the new ones would entail.
Any help would be great.
Thanks.

It isn't that complicated if you have proper tools and manual. You will need to replace the bolts, and also have to align springs correctly.
BTW, if you are planning to use the stock shocks, do yourself a favor and replace the shocks while at it. You will be replacing them in a few months.

You can probably rent one. Otherwise it is less than $50. Also do yourself a favor and read up on the spring alignment. Front ones have funny angle that you have to align with.

The lower end of the spring has to be facing the center of the car right? If you replace the shocks be sure that they are the same diameter. I replaced my a4 shocks with monroes which where a fraction on an inch larger and it made it seriously tough to get the springs back on.
