RE: master window switch

Too bad the shipping and insurance chargesare so high for the ebay switch! The total cost would be $30.99, not $3.99.

RE: master window switch

It's pretty easy to remove the switch. If I remember correctly, it's just a pressure fit. If you look on the underside of the arm rest there's a hole. Gently (but firmly) push a Philips head screwdriver into the hole and the whole switch assembly will pop upward, out of the arm rest.

Good luck.

hey guys, I know I'm about a month late lol but JJ I had the same problem. What happened was, the inside "clip" of my window lockout switch broke, so the switch would not stay down (deactivated) and so my passangers weren't able to put down their windows unless A) I did it from my driver side or B) held in the lockout switch EVERY time they wanted the window up or down lmao Needless to say, I replaced the master switch very quickly ;-) Use the vaglinks link boykie gave you to replace (if you havent already) - its quite simple.

Just wanted to say thanks to this thread, my rear passengers can use their windows at will again. Great help folks. Where can I get the link to that tutorial on other fixes for an 01 A6QT?
