You may have a leaking hydraulic lifter. When the engine sits the oil leaks out of the lifter and you end up with a lot of valve clatter until the car's oil pressure pumps it back up. This takes longer in cold weather. As the lifter leak gets worse it may also make noise at idle. This will not hurt anything but it is annoying and eventually you make get a MIL because the valve opening and closing will not be at the ideal time and the valve will not open completely. If the lifters are the problem they can be replaced. They are not very expensive but you have to pull the camshaft(s). If there is only one bad lifter you can just replace the one.

If it goes away shortly after starting and it is due to a stuck or leaking lifter then probably not. I do not know if your engine has a hydraulic cam adjuster. If it does and that is the problem then you could have a major problem developing. That will usually throw a MIL code prior to catastrophic failure. Have it looked at by a dealer or a good mechanic.
