More freakin 02 sensor issues

The right rear sensor(bank 1, sensor 2) was bad. Stayed that way for about a month and a half. Original codes were P1114(basic 02 code) and P1118(labeling bank 1, sensor 2 as having an open circuit) Ordered the part from ECS, put it in a few days ago. It gas been about 35 start/stop cycles, and the light is still on. Had it scanned again, this time, P1114 is still there, but now I have P1105, for bank 1 sensor 2 being shorted to positive. I am wondering what the issue is now?? Any ideas? I am really sick of this CE light staring at me everytime I drive it [=(]

Thanks guys, Matt.

The first two, P1114 and P1118 sound like the O2 sensor was disconnected or wire broken. You should be able to duplicate them if you disconnect the sensor.

P1105 on a new sensor (assuming you used the one with the plug, not a spliced in 4 wire universal), suggests that your wiring problem is between the ECU and the connector on the firewall where you plugged in your new sensor.

The wires that go to bank 1 make some tight turns behind the engine and should have a heat shield over them where they get close to the exhaust. If you know the measuring block for the B1 S2 sensor, have someone mess with the harness in that area while you watch the data on the computer. You could log them if you don't have a willing helper!

Maybe a better way is to check continuity between the ECU and the plug on the firewall.
