Well I finally broke and decided that as a replacement for my 2004 envoy xuv I would rather have the 2000 audi a6 4.2. I bought this car from a private person with 72,000 miles on it for $9,000 (which was quite the deal) and had an audi dealer perform a check on it to make sure everything was ship shape. The owner had the timimg belt and water pump recently replaced which makes things easier for me, and the mechanic said all was well and in great condition. Gotta say I love the interrior and the dark green color. I hope the photo shows up.

I just picked up a 2000 4.2 as well.

 

I remember looking at a similar 4.2 A6 before I got mine. I didnt even have a license yet and when I turned it on I loved the sound. It had a Milltek Exhaust.

well i would like to try and get some more power out of that amazing 4.2l engine, still working out how i want to do that... im open to suggestions. However i was thinking of getting a new exaust system and getting an upgrade to fix the tiptronic transmition that has a mind of its own. However for the most part i want to keep the exterrior look the same, i like the stock look of this car. However i might be in the market for some nice sporty looking rims at some point... but thats way down the road.

 

recode the trans with a vagcom ... do a custom exhaust unless u have about a grand+ to blow on a catback ... good like with ur ride
