My new A6 2.7T! First Audi for me!!
I finally got enough money to get an Audi! I just got a 2002 A6 2.7T Quattro with 65K miles. I took it to a local Audi guy and had the T-belt, w-pump, term, tensions, sends, idler, seals, cam seals and plugs, oil change, coolant flush. I think I got a good deal at 14,500 for the car and 1400 for the work. I was thinking new 17" wheels, some 710N DVs and a Samco TBB. Possible a APR chip in a few months...dunno yet. I dont want to blow the turbos like mu buddy did on his S4 with the GIAC. Anything else I should do right away?

RE: My new A6 2.7T! First Audi for me!!
I've had no problems with my GIAC - been installed for 15k miles. Also did the DVs and TBB at the same time. I suspect that no matter what chip you use, you increase boost and that can lead to premature failure. I accelerate conservatively but drive at high speed, so the turbos are not getting hammered very often. The car has 95k on it. I also use Mobil1 and change the oil every 8k.
I did have to replace my clutch and flywheel at 89k and attribute part of that to the higher power of the chipped engine.
