Just finished my rear brakes last night. Note: you do NOT have to pull the caliper bracket off, just the caliper. Undo the two 13 mm bolts, holding the 15 mm nuts with a wrench, to undo the caliper, slide it off, then pull the pads out. The rotor will come out from underneath the bracket, which is unusual but damned convenient! Getting the caliper puck to rotate back in was a bear as I had to apply pressure to the puck while rotating it. After several false starts, I found that a pry bar through the caliper gave the right pressure and was out of the way of my pliers. I'm going to have to get one of those rear disk tools, one of these days....
Anyway, my wheels aren't as nice and my fronts will get done later this summer, but thanks for the write up!

I just got done putting new pads on my 2001 S4. After putting the new pads on, The calipers rubbed the rims again. I had to put 5mm spacers on because some ******* on Ebay sold me rims that wouldnt fit correctly after I asked him specificaly if they would fit. Does anyone have a good opinion on what to do? I ground the the front air ducts on the calipers a little bit, but I havebarelya mm of clearance. It's not safe to drive. So, right now it is just sitting in my driveway...

good choice with the zimmermans i just got the 2 drilled rotors up front too! I also went with Stoptech SS brake lines front/rear and some motul fluid... got them installed just a few days ago. I already had some PBR Ultimate Ceramic pads all around with about 5k on em so the whole 'kit' so to speak is still bedding in, but it feels wonderful!

Hey VOTBLINDUB.....Nice job on the brakes!! Did you have to adjust your parking brake after all of the work. I did mine over a month ago...but stil don't think they are adjusted quite right. Any tips you care to share?
