I was doing my weekly PM on my 2003 A6 4.2 Quattro. I removed the plastic cover over tha battery and cabin filter and noticed this unattached tube sticking out. Can anyone tell me what this is for or where it might go? I've looked thru the whole area and couldn't find anything.

Looks like it could be the battery vent hose.
