We're probably going to trade ours in too. Right now we have 2 cars: the audi and my pos daily driver, an '00 Subaru outback with 192K. I originally thought we'd replace the Subie first but as we are racking up more issues with the a6, we're going to get rid of that instead. As you noted, it is a shame b/c the driving experience of the audi is so much better.

WoW im at the same place...just that its harder for me Im getting older and older and i still dont own my own home still in school and im getting presured form my girl (5 yrs now) to get it moving. So i have had my 02 2.7 for a 2.5 yrs i bought it back in 05 for 19k i still owe 11,382 kbb and nada say trade in value is 11-13k i wana trade it in due to all these stories. My car is in ok condition nothing a little tlc wouldnt take care of. BUt i want a new on beacuse i am scared of all theses problems and by the time im done paying it the car will have est. 98500miles and be 9 years old !!! And it seems every day someting gooes wrong the sensor on the coolant the torn cv boots the drive seat positioning control the cup holder broken the armrest lid broken the funny noise from the power steering when i turn at cold start the funny noise when i turn to hard to the right the fact that i at 75k and soon i will have to do a water pumb replace and omg just sooo much .....

 

seis29, get out now!!! I would fix the things that throw a check engine light and trade it in. I thought about selling the car to a private party, but I would feel awful doing it (knowing what the cost to maintain is). So, its goin to the dealer, who will rape me on the trade in cost, but at least the car will be theirs.
