Me and my friend replaced the timing belt and everything related on my 1998 a6 quattro. During the process I broke a vacuum line on the right side of the block, in the vacuum hosing diagram it is the black hose. When it snapped we heard alot of air coming out the line.


We patched up the hose by putting both hoses into a black hose and clamped it.

Then when we put together the car again we tried to turn it on. We have to hold the key in the ignition for a good 10-15 secs until it starts to run, it has a very rough idle. When I start to press on the acceleration, when the car hits 1.5k rpm's it immediate goes back to 0. We only have one code P1545, the Manf Cntrl Veh. Spd. Idle Speed Control Auxiliary inputs.
Also the brake light blinks.

I have no idea what to do now and i need your help.
