Need help identifying this outlet piece?!
 

I own a 2007 Audi A6 3.2 CVT Quattro Sedan...this piece is located under the center console arm rest (**Please see attached image**). The main piece (with the gold dots) is flush with the housing and the two black pieces next to it on either end move up and down, as if something were able to snap into them. I would appreciate help identifying what this is (I was hoping it would be the female end for the Stereo 3.5mm Aux Adapter Cable needed to play music through my phone). Thanks for any help!

It's a cradle for phone. Most people find it very useless nowadays since it only helps charging a phone and boosting the signal if 3G (so newer phones with 4g/lte get no signal boost).
It also seems to be hard to even find the correct cradle/adapter to attach to this piece in the armrest. It will in no way assist in getting the phone connected to the sound system.
