Default need some help

everytime i start up the car it beeps and something comes up on the display but cant figure out what it is. how do i fix this problem??? its a 98 2.8 30v if that helps out.

i know i gotta get the display fixed. if i knew how to do it i wouldnt ask id have fixed it by now.

im asking how do i fix it

Hi BlackedA6,

The audible beep that you are hearing is simply an indicator to alert you that something with the car needs attention or servce. If your display was legible, the icon would indicate what needs attention. It could be something as simple as low coolant, brake fluid or washer fluid, etc. or it could be an indicator alerting you that the front brake pads are worn.

Anyway...it would be helpful to have your LCD repaired first. I'm including a link for a company that specializes in repairing these Audi LCD displays. The do great work and are far less expensive when you compare them to a cost of a replacement instrument cluster. Check the simple things first...like fluid levels, then check out this link. thanks twin

ill look into the fluid levels i know that the washer fluid bottle is cracked and leaking so it might be that
