Need Windshield Wiper Recommendation
2002 A6 3.0 (AVK). I hate the stock wipers. They always seem to fall apart and get full of snow/ice. It is winter here in Michigan and the set I JUST bought lost one of the tips and the wiper is flapping all around.
I would like to get something other than the stock blades, if that is possible.
So, any recommendations, and please include where I might purchase them... Thanks!

I have two sets of blades for all my vehicles. Winter blades with the rubber boots and summer blades. But all my vechcles -except for the rollerskate - use standard wiper blades. I heard that some Audis have "special blade attachment" and wonder if there is a work around so you can use the standard one's. You might check with Auto Zone or some one to see what can be done. Due to the various skill level s we find at AZ you might have to check with a few locations until you find someone with a brain.

Do you have the Aero design wipers ? I can't figure out how to release the wipers from the wiper arm, any tips or special tools needed ? I just got my 2002 A6 Quattro and all my other cars have the u-type wiper arm design, I don't want to break the wiper, thanks.

Wiper Removal
On my blades there is a hood that slides up to reveal the j-hook that holds the wiper in place.
You slide the hood up and the wiper blade, the whole thing, comes off. I can take a pic if you want?
Has anyone tried the new Rain-X blades? The site says the 22inch small j-hook model will fit the Audi?

I vote for the Rain-X wipers, they are nearly perfect (and cheap)! They work excellent in the rain, seriously amazing, and are very good in the snow. Maybe it's just me but they have been the best wipers i have seen on any vehicle.
J-hook = normal wipers used by most cars; just buy at walmart or similar.
