New Audi Owner
Hi folks,
Just picked up an '01 A6 2.7T about a week ago. I'm getting rid of my IS300, and wanted something quick, comfy and with AWD. The A6 was on the lot calling out to me (I liked the A4 a few years ago, but chose the IS at the time). So far, love the car. I'm still not quite used to the different handling/take off/suspension/braking from the IS, but I'm sure I will get there.
The only thing so far I've noticed is the brakes. I think a rear rotar is warped, and will be getting that checked out. I need to go back to the dealer this week for something else, and they said they'd look (although, they looked before I took the car so it may just be that I'm not used to something normal in the 2.7T). Then, I'll take it down to Audi for a regular checkup and have Audi-trained eyes look at it.
Anyways.. just saying hello.

Welcome to the forum AudiT!
Be sure to check out the START HERE! post.
Great choice of engine - of course I'm biased!
Good luck with the car. Are you in the States?

Yep, I always try archives first. After years on Lexus boards, I know the value of what people have posted.
I have suggestions for the glossary.
I/E - Intake/Exhaust (used when talking about an I/E combo.. like "I suggest a Injen/Hyper for I/E")
IANAL - I Am Not A Lawyer (like, "IANAL, but I think that's illegal")
I'm sure I'll have some questions at first, then be able to contribute more as I learn more about my new engine and car.
Nice looking board, BTW. Most appealing Audi forum I have found so far.

Good suggestions for the glossary.
The I/E reference isn't used with Audis because these mods are so differentiated from each other during discussions. Don't get me wrong, it's a useful term. I just haven't seen it in use before when talking Audi mods.
