new to forum

hey wuz up people? i just joined this audi forums these days and still trying to figure out everything on here. Searched a few things on the forum already. I currently have an 2000 A6 2.7T with 6spd manual trans. Haven't done any modification to the car yet but i have been looking for a body kit and just can't find any. If anyone have suggestions please let me know. One more thing, theres a set a or rim that i really wanna get, however its gonna need a 20MM spacer because of the factory caliper, first i dont know if its safe for it, second will i need to put on new stud to have enough space to put on the spacer and the rim on in order to support the weight of it. If anyone knows, i am open to suggestions....

RE: new to forum

congrats. See my links below for help.

As for the rim, the 2000/2001 2.7T has a HP2 caliper...so rim fitment needs to be researched. OEM rims (like the 17x7.5 S4 Avus) are a safe bet. Do a search on the A6 forum in audiworld.com for "HP2 caliper" and see what you get.

Also, as for spacers, 20MM seems a bit excessive. You would be making a major impact to the geometry of the susspension system if you did that. Please do some research to find out what the implications would be. I've heard of 5 and 10MM spacers being used…but 20MM seems a bit much. Although, I have no idea what size rim/wheel you are planning on installing…so I could be a bit off base.

Good luck!!
