New guy, looking at buying an A6- Advice?

Hello all. I'm new here, so I thought I'd start out by saying, thanks for Any advice I might get. I'm looking at buying a 2000 A6 Quattro. It appears to be is Super condition and only has 46,000 miles on it! Very well taken care of, but still wondering, what should I look out for? I've already run the Vin # through carfax and it came back good! Just thought I'd go to the 'source' and ask here, what quirks dose this year have, that I should be looking for? As a used car, I'll only get 60 days / 2500 miles as a warranty. Thanks for any advice and hopefully it's a good car and I'll be hanging out here, for a long time!
:D

RE: New guy, looking at buying an A6- Advice?

There are many posts dealing with the more common problems of the A6.
A Audi with only 46K on it should be OK for quite a while. You didn't mention which engine it has - 2.8, 2.7T, or 4.2 V8?
Some problems are engine-specific.
One thing I WOULD recommend - an extended warranty.
Repairs can get fairly expensive.

Sorry about that. It's the 2.8. I think it has every option and it's black on black. I was looking into buying a warranty, but from who? There are many out there, but which one's will realy cover your repairs (and I don't mean repay you after you pay the bill)?
