New to me '97 Quattro Base -- need a front license plate frame

Hi all,
Noobie here.
I inherited my dad's 97 quattro and LOVE IT!
But I now have a ticket for no front license plate (here in Sunny California) and the dealer says $90 plus tax and shipping and three weeks to delivery which won't help me get the ticket signed off within the 21 day limit.
Any online or autostore bracket options that will let me get a standard CA license plate matched up to the three holes premade in the bumper?
I've looked at ECS and audipartsuperstore.com with no luck.

Any help would be truly appreciated!
Tzi

Just screw it on with a couple of screws until you can get a bracket. You will either have to pay the exuberant cost of the dealer (or ebay) or find someone parting out their car that might have one.

It took me around 7 months of on-and-off searching to find a cheap bracket for my fiances A6 (luckily we were going to school in a state that didn't care about front license plates). Still was $35.

Really really appreciate the quick response but the screw holes don't come close to match the plate. No way to screw it on and can't drill holes.

Any other advice?

edit: or this http://r.ebay.com/SmFj4j

edit: here's a guy parting out his '96 A6 wagon, you should ask if he has it http://forums.fourtitude.com/showthr...-WAGON...Green..
