Default new member with his new car!!!

hi everyone,

im new to the forums and found u guys on google.

i live in england and has just bought a modern classic in my opinion! a 1995 audi a6 saloon 2.0 petrol manual. the car was 1 owner from new with 25k on the clock serviced every year with stamps to warrent mileage. im thrilled to bits with it. im 21 years of age and this car is now my pride and joy

heres a few pics i would love your opinions on it and what i should do with it.

it was standard when i got it i have put a nicer stereo in and the wheels have been upgraded to 18". i have also tinted the back glass.

hope you like! i really look forward to what you think

welcome to the forum, Oli.
She looks to be in a very good shape for her "age". Keep her well maintained and she'll love ya back double fold. I would say keep her classy on the exterior/interior.
As far as the powertrain, depending on your drive style, probably you can at least upgrade the clutch.

Welcome to the forum. I can't imagine a 14 year old car with miles that low. I bought mine used in 2005 with 37k miles and am now at 140k.

I wouldn't be to quick to mod. Drive it for a while and make sure it works well. Even if it was well treated, you could have age-related problems. Also, avoid driving over curbs, even for pictures, since it makes a mess of the steering linkage and suspension. Cheers. :-)

ty for your comments keep em coming!

oh yes i plan to keep her well maintained just had the cambelt done as it had factory one on and its 14 years old! only cost £90/$140 for cambelt and had her serviced at the same time. i was thinking of lowering but im not sure i want to compramise ride for it so may just go for springs, probably about 30 mm.. im trying to source the chome trim for around the windows off the v6 models from the uk spec over here it should finish it nicely. shame its only a 2.0 4 cylinder but im 21 so insurance is steep and this things milage attracted me too much im a used car trader and i came across it for £500/$850 and couldnt say no. for that money you get a 200k v6 with a dashed interior so i opted for the 25k 2.0 lol

ps. the insurance was £950/$1450! full comprehensive cover but its worth every penny.

i do try to avoid it if i can at work unfortunatly im on an industrial estate with plenty of lorrys and big rigs swinging about the place so i park as far away from the road as possible! ive seen some cars reduced to scrap through terrible judgemnet of truck drivers! ty for comments keep em coming.

How many valves? is that engine similar to the one they have in the 2001 VW Golf? How does it run?

Seems like really low miles for that many years, but the outside looks like its in great shape.
