I opened my 2000 a6 (Just purchased) sunroof shade manually. It seemed to stick in way back position. I then opened sunroof and it opened some then stuck - wont move forward or back - fixable operator error with controls I dont understand, or my first repair?? Picking up kids soon hope to fix right away!

 

So, operator error on controls - got it closed but sunroof shade is closed or jammed far back - where I stupidly pushed it. Same question but no longer affecting watertightness/open to elements thank god!

 

Just fished and jiggled past some rubber stops. Perfectly fine keeping it closed!!

 

I'll be following your journey with your car - I also just purchased a 2000 A6.

 

Love love loving this sweet luxury car on which everything works and is tight as a german ****. WOnder how long this rock solid beast will go before something breaks..
