No drive and no throttle response 2006 A6 2.0dti auto
Hi guys need some help with a 2006 A6 2.0dti auto
To note the Auto box it the 7 speed and also had the dreaded ECU gearbox fault for the last 4 years
On the way home today the car stalled when braking, this is down to the gearbox fault “been happening for the last 4 years very rare it dose this”
I start the car up again and start to back the car up
On putting it back into drive the engine will no longer rev
When I press the throttle it will only respond very very slightly
What I have noticed is that there is no response from the engine when I put it in gear so from P to D
No engine tone change at all in any of the gear leaver positions
And no fault codes at all when tested
Any idea's?
Thanks

Yes.. information is very vague on this but this is down to a problem with the cvt ecu
The garage I took it to did a gearbox reset but that didn't seem to help
I went to pick the car up today "tow home" started the car.. same problem, no drive no rev.
moved the gear leaver into every position and then all the gear lights illuminated then it went to Park
after that I could put it in gear and the engine would rev!
I even drove it home
when I got home I turned off the car and started it again and as before none of the gear lights where lit but I could still put it in gear and rev so it's back to how it was before.
my next job is to remove the ecu and get it fixed once and for all
