offset question
Would a +32 offset be too low? Im planning on buying 18x8's, but i have a choice of either a 32 or 38 offset. I would like the 32, but I'm not too sure if that's going to be too low, since the stock is 45.

So nobody knows?

RE: offset question
My previous car (2001 2.7T) had ET43 wheels, and I wished they were just a bit further out. The ET32 offset will be super aggressive and push the wheels WAY out towards the edge of the fender lip. However, I think you might be at the point where the outer edge of the tires might kick up debris on the side of your car. I saw an A6 avant this AM with OZ SL wheels with the ET35 offset, and they looked NICE! I think ET32 might be a bit too much, I think ET38 will serve you well.
FYI - I saw an A6 with OEM RS6 wheels (18x8.5" ET30 offset) and I thought it was just a bit too much, but that is a wider wheel and a more aggressive offset. |
RE: offset question
45 and you want 32 offset?? it will punish your tyres for sure so not worth it

RE: offset question
Plenty of A6 owners go with aftermarket wheels with ET35 offset, and I have yet to see anyone complain about anything related to tire wear.

RE: offset question
facts only mate, a 45 offset to a 38/32 will wear the tyre in no time at all the 38 will last longer (just) but there are upgrades to make it possible

RE: offset question
I run 18x8.5 with a 35mm offset. I would think an 8 inch wide wheel with a 32mm offset would fit.
