oil temp sensor?
ok so my oil temp guage just stays all the way down idk what temp its suppose to be at when normal driving conditions, but wondering where the sensor is? and how much it is and difficulty level of replacement.. pics would be the best help. thanks.
Mine does not register a temp until 5-10 mins of hwy driving. Oil is very slow to warm up. Once at operating temperature, it hovers around 175. I believe the oil temp sensor is on the bottom of the oil pan. I might be wrong though.

What year is your car again, I forgot. If its after 2000, I do believe it is the oil level sender, it serves double duty. Its in a recess in the bottom of the pan. Make sure you drain the oil before you take it out, other wise itl be all over you. Shouldnt be hard to do, a couple of bolts. And my coolant temp takes about 3-4 min to warm up, oil about 10 min to move at all. And it will usually ride between 175 and 225. Depends on the out side temp and how heavy my foot is.
