Oxy sensors
 

3 oxy sensors on the A6. long time ago, over 2 weeks, when I was still driving the 90 5000, a generic Oxy sensor was suggested by SMJ Autotechnic.
Is it possible that generics are available for the '97 A6.The 3 are pricey, and each seperately is.

where are the oxygen sensors located on a 99 A6Q2.8 ? when do they need replacing?

Haven't looked myself, SJM says one before the cat, one on each pipe after.

If you get under the car, going to be hard to miss. Biggish hex sticking out of the pipes, with wires coming out of them.

Upper ones are a bit harderto see. To replace them, it is easier to remove the coolant tank and intake air box andconnector. Long extension and crows footare a must.
